Advanced Safety Features in Every Canny Elevator

01 UPS Emergency Power Supply

In the event of a power outage, the built-in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) activates automatically. It safely lowers the elevator to the nearest floor and opens the doors, allowing passengers to exit without panic or delay. This ensures reliable evacuation even during unexpected blackouts.

02 Safety Circuit Protection

Continuously monitors the entire electrical system to detect faults or anomalies. Automatically cuts power to prevent accidents caused by short circuits or wiring failures.

03 Door Interlock Protection

Prevents the elevator from operating unless all doors are securely closed and locked. Ensures passengers cannot travel unless conditions are completely safe.

04 Brake Test & Protection System

Performs real-time testing of the elevator’s braking system. Activates backup safety measures if abnormal braking is detected.

05 Terminal Speed Monitoring

Slows the elevator safely as it approaches the top or bottom floor, preventing abrupt stops or overshooting.

06 Limit Protection

Prevents the elevator from travelling beyond its designed travel range by automatically stopping the lift at predefined points.

07 Final Limit Protection

Acts as a secondary safety measure if the standard limit protection fails — halting the elevator immediately before reaching physical end stops.

08 Light Curtain Protection

A sensor grid across the elevator entrance detects movement. If a person or object is in the doorway, the doors will automatically reopen to prevent contact.

09 Anti-Door-Opening Protection (Out of Door Zone)

Prevents elevator doors from opening when the cabin is not precisely aligned with a floor — eliminating the risk of unsafe exits.

10 Overspeed Protection

Instantly activates the emergency braking system if the lift exceeds its rated speed, ensuring passenger safety in all conditions.

11 Overload Warning System

Detects if the weight inside the lift exceeds the safe limit and prevents operation. An audible and visual alert notifies passengers to reduce the load.

12 Automatic Levelling After Power Failure or Breakdown

In the event of a power outage or minor malfunction, the elevator automatically moves to the nearest floor and levels itself to ensure safe passenger exit.

13 Anti-Blocking Protection

Prevents the elevator from getting stuck or locked in between floors due to mechanical obstructions or system lag.

14 Frequency Converter Overheat Protection

Monitors internal temperature of the frequency converter (VFD) and pauses operation if overheating is detected, preventing system damage.

15 Drive Overload Protection

Prevents damage to the elevator’s drive system by cutting power during excessive load or torque conditions.

16 Drive Overcurrent Protection

Shuts off power when abnormally high current is detected, protecting the motor and internal components from burnout.

17 Main Circuit Fault Protection

Continuously checks the main power circuit. Interrupts operation if faults, voltage drops, or fluctuations are detected.

18 CAN Communication Fault Detection

Ensures smooth communication between elevator control modules. Detects and alerts for communication errors to prevent unsafe behavior.

19 Door Switch Fault Protection

Identifies faults in the door locking or switch system, disabling movement to avoid risks associated with door malfunction.
